Day 1: Cusco – Where Past and Present Intertwine

Upon your morning arrival at the airport, your friendly guide will be waiting to warmly welcome you to the capital of the Inca Empire. For us, creating an initial connection is essential, so you’ll have the opportunity to share a welcome lunch together, creating a space to get to know one another and talk about the exciting journey ahead.

After this connection lunch, we’ll dive into the heart of history. Qorikancha, the ancient Temple of the Sun, will reveal the sophisticated Inca worldview and its fascinating encounter with the Catholic faith, a story that lives on in the imposing Cathedral we’ll visit next.

The monumental Sacsayhuamán will leave you in awe of the architectural mastery of this legendary civilization. Afterward, we’ll head to Qenko to explore a beautiful eucalyptus forest, a peaceful and natural contrast to the grandeur of the Inca ruins.

To end the day, a panoramic view of Cusco will offer you a magical perspective of the city, a visual prelude to the treasures still waiting to be discovered in this Andean jewel. As an optional activity, we’ll take a walking tour through the charming artisan neighborhood of San Blas, where you can immerse yourself in its bohemian spirit.

Day 2: Treasures of the Sacred Valley

After a delicious breakfast at your hotel, we’ll head to Chinchero, a picturesque village renowned for its rich textile traditions. Here, you’ll have the chance to immerse yourself in the fascinating process of Andean textile making, from wool spinning and natural dyeing to the weaving of intricate patterns. It’s a vivid window into the region’s cultural heritage.

We’ll continue our journey to the enigmatic Maras Salt Mines, an impressive ensemble of salt pools that have been harvested since pre-Inca times. The panoramic view of thousands of white terraces contrasted against the rugged mountain landscape is truly breathtaking.

Next, we’ll visit Moray, a unique archaeological site with concentric circular terraces believed to have served as an Inca agricultural laboratory. The ingenuity and engineering of this site will leave you amazed.

At midday, we’ll enjoy a comforting buffet lunch in Urubamba, savoring a variety of local flavors.

Finally, we’ll make our way to the imposing fortress of Ollantaytambo, an Inca site that once functioned as both a ceremonial center and a military stronghold. We’ll explore its terraces, temples, and sacred precincts, immersing ourselves in the stories and architecture of the Incas. After the visit, we’ll head to our hotel in Ollantaytambo to rest. As an optional activity, we can explore the charming town, considered one of the most beautiful and well-preserved ancestral villages in the world.

In the evening, you’ll have the option to enjoy dinner in the village, preparing for tomorrow’s thrilling adventure to Machu Picchu.

Day 3: The Majesty of Machu Picchu

This long-awaited day begins early with a train journey from Ollantaytambo. We’ll enjoy stunning views of the Andean landscape as we make our way toward Aguas Calientes, the gateway to Machu Picchu.

Upon arrival in Aguas Calientes, we’ll board the buses that will take us up the mountain to the iconic Inca citadel. There, an expert guide will lead us through a fascinating tour, unveiling the secrets and history of this wonder of the world. You'll have time to marvel at the site’s architecture, engineering, and the mystical energy that surrounds this sacred place.

After our unforgettable experience atop the mountain, we’ll take the bus back down to Aguas Calientes. We'll enjoy a comforting lunch together before boarding the train back to Ollantaytambo station. From there, a private bus will be waiting to take us on our final journey back to Cusco.

Day 4: An Andean Awakening of Color – Welcome to Vinicunca, the Rainbow Mountain

The Andean dawn calls us toward the chromatic adventure of Vinicunca. A scenic three-hour drive takes us to the base of this natural wonder. From there, we begin a challenging 7 km round-trip hike starting at 4,660 meters above sea level, ascending through breathtaking landscapes.

Along the way, Andean life reveals itself, llamas and alpacas dot the trail, and ancestral communities share their deep connection with the land. Upon reaching the summit, the colorful palette of Vinicunca rewards our effort with an unforgettable view.

After this visual immersion, we descend to enjoy a well-deserved lunch. We then return to Cusco, carrying with us the vibrant image of the Rainbow Mountain and the authentic spirit of the Andes, an unforgettable memory of Peru’s natural majesty.

Day 5: The Turquoise Jewel of Humantay (Shared Tour)

One final morning adventure awaits us in the high Andes, a journey to the breathtaking Humantay Lake, located at 4,200 meters above sea level. Our day begins early with a transfer to the picturesque village of Soraypampa, at 3,800 meters, which serves as the starting point for our hike.

From there, we’ll embark on a scenic trail of approximately 5 kilometers round trip, a gradual ascent that allows us to soak in the majesty of the surrounding landscape. Upon reaching the lake, we’ll be rewarded with a spectacular sight: brilliant turquoise waters set against the towering presence of Mount Humantay, a sacred peak revered by local communities as a protective spirit.

We’ll take time to absorb the serenity and natural beauty of this magical place, feeling a unique connection to the Andean world. Finally, we’ll descend back to Soraypampa, where our transport will be waiting to return us to the vibrant city of Cusco, our hearts full of energy and unforgettable memories from this last encounter with the grandeur of the Peruvian Andes.

Day 6: Adrenaline on ATVs and Nightlife in Cusco (Shared Tour)

After several days packed with adventure, today offers you a well-deserved free morning to rest and recharge. Enjoy a slow-paced wake-up and a relaxed breakfast at your own rhythm.

In the afternoon, adventure calls with an exhilarating ATV tour through the Sacred Valley. This adrenaline-filled ride will take you to explore stunning lagoons and authentic Andean communities. Along the way, you’ll witness part of Cusco’s most sacred and spiritual mountain ranges and glaciers, offering breathtaking views and a deep cultural experience.
