Awakened by the sounds of the jungle and after enjoying a breakfast of local flavors at the lodge, we will set off on foot into the heart of Tambopata. This deep immersion trek will sharpen our senses as we learn to detect the subtle movements and sounds of the surrounding wildlife. Guided by a local expert with ancestral knowledge, we’ll uncover the secrets of the medicinal plants that the rainforest so generously provides, learning about their healing properties and cultural importance for local communities.

If the jungle favors us, we may have the thrilling opportunity to spot anacondas in their natural habitat, as well as various species of monkeys leaping through the canopy above.

Later, a short journey will take us to a hidden lagoon, a still mirror of water where our adventure continues with piranha spotting and observing the rich birdlife that frequents its shores. We'll navigate the dark waters of the Tambopata River in search of the mighty black caimans, whose glowing eyes will reflect our flashlights in the darkness. This nighttime river expedition will offer us a completely different perspective of life in the jungle.

Day 10: Farewell Tambopata, Hello Lima: A Night to Say Goodbye

Waking up in the heart of Tambopata marks our final day in this jungle paradise. After breakfast, we’ll navigate back along the Tambopata River, soaking in the last glimpses of this vibrant ecosystem. Then, a land transfer will take us to the Puerto Maldonado airport for our flight to Lima.

Tonight, we’ll have the option to share a farewell dinner together, reflecting on the unforgettable moments we've experienced, a joyful way to end this incredible adventure before heading back home.

Day 8: Awakening the Senses in the Heart of Tambopata, First Jungle Encounter.

From the high Andean altitudes of Cusco, we take a flight to the vibrant heart of the Amazon in Puerto Maldonado. Upon arrival, the humid warmth and unfamiliar aromas will welcome us, along with the enthusiastic reception of our local guides, true guardians of this unique ecosystem. After a brief stop at the lodge's office to repack and prepare for the jungle adventure, we’ll board a bus headed for the port that opens the gates to the Tambopata River.

The Tambopata River awaits, winding through a green symphony where wildlife begins to reveal itself in flashes of color and sound. Our boat journey to the lodge becomes an intimate first contact with the rainforest, an awakening of the senses through lush vegetation and the promise of fascinating encounters.

Upon arrival at our jungle home, the natural surroundings will envelop us in their vital energy. As night falls, we’ll venture out on a guided night walk, where mysterious sounds and dancing shadows will lead us through a hidden world.
